The Midnight Watch

" Hey Jake have a look at this" Meriel leads Jake over to the posting on the office wall, before pulling it off  " A bounty list" sounding rather happy about it. Handing the Paper over to Jake as he grins " Care to go Bounty hunting?" he asked, Meriel agrees as they both stock up and the needed items. Bandages, arrow, and bladed weapons, once they were ready to go they both head west into the forests. " Lets see if I were one of these people where would I be hiding out not to be found?" Meriel asking as she followed the Blue robes of Jake. As they both continue to follow the mountain pass they both came across a small cave like cut out. " If I was hiding out I'd pick a cave?" she suggests as they both enter and quickly find that it's mostly empty other then the smell of a soup or stew. There, there was the prize and some bandits. They were quickly taken care off before the slaying of one Trent Huxley after he attacked them. Jake quickly removed the head and put it into a sac he had taken with him. "That's just gross" she comments.

" One down four more to go " Meriel comment then marking off the first name, being the bigger out the lot for pay out. Next the twp went east to the swamp lands. Here They both thought would also be a nice hide out from these people to escape to as not many people had come out this way. As they both tread around and through the swamps they notice a fire in the distance " Might be them there" Jake said pointing out the light as Meriel looked at the direction "yeah Think thats safe to guess." as they neared they were spotted and attacked by another group of bandits. Clearing this lot out was easy before a Luthor Faust tried to run away and was quickly taken down as well, Jake with another clean cut of his axe collects the head. Meriel marking off another.

The pair then head back west along the rock, coming to yet another cave. " Am pretty sure spiders call this cave home, the poisonous ones" Meriel comments pulling out some cure potions for them if they went in. Jake grins " Or another Hide out for the next hunt" going into the dark. Meriel sighs fallowing him in. Both were meet with dead corpses of the spiders and the slight echoing of voices, Meriel puts a gold piece into his hand then as he grins. Another group of bandits were hiding out here both hearing the next targets name being dropped, Drake Anselme. Meriel fireing off the first shot and Jake get ready to go head on with the lot. Like the others they fell quickly. The target didn't flee though and stays to fight. His down fall, and Jake once more removes the head with a single swing. Meriel pulling out the first arrow she had fired into the corpse " Three down two more to go".

Leaving the cave they went to the inn for a quick rest, Finding Mr.Vane. Hearing that he had the bounty pay out they handed him the three heads and collected.

When Vane and Jake talked about the next hunt they talked about going out at night to find the next target to try and catch him sleeping without much of a fight maybe. Jake and Meriel leave south west along the shore. Twin lanterns guiding them to a fire in the distance, " Think it's safe to guess that's them as that camp wasn't there before" Meriel points out as they got closer. Jake running right into the camp with his axe swinging as Meriel remains behind pelting the camp with arrows. The camp fell under the assault and the next target lay at their feet. " Guess the night surprise worked" Jake grins then cutting the head from the man before collecting it in a fresh sac. Meriel making no comment as she strokes off the name Rolf Pert.

" I have a feeling the last ones at the bandit fort" jake comments quickly, Meriel nodding her head as the both went back east to the fort where the bandits gather. As they neared Meriel stops Jake from running in once more " Let me go see whats there first as we don't know if she's here and where". Jake shrugs lowering his axe "Have at it then lass". Meriel grins before she slips away in hiding and into the fort carefully avoiding drawing attention to herself before seeing that Sarah Ipsly. Before returning to Jake outside the fort. " Well you're right once again but she's behind alot of bandits on the little dock inside the fort" she mumbles then pulling back out her bow waiting to hear this plan. "Well then lass we lead a few of them away then going for her" he said before moving closer to the fort where they could see him as he taunts them to come out of the fort walls. Where they were only jumped and slays but Meriel and Jake. before entering the mostly empty fort and killing the main target. Removing her head as Meriel marked off the last name of the poster " and that's five" she said folding away the paper back into her bag.

Heading back to town where they found Nathaniel once more. Jake throwing the sac of heads at him, " All cleaned up" Mr Vane left to go get the rest of the payout before handing it over to Jake.

Might take some time to get used to again but so far, everything is how I remember or in some cases left them as... God I missed PB. Good to have you and the server back Egbert.

p.s remember not to drink poisons accidentally.

As long as you post up one finished painted figure on here then I forgive you. Personally am still on and off game doing my zombie killing duties and talking to the birds. And a few other things, though mostly boring things as I can't do anything fun yet. But am still in game doing what ever I find, keep the server going woot woot.
