Today - The Merchant's Guild was escorted by the militia to trade food from Altmerian farms to the Vesperians in exchange for what we need to bring our cannons to bear.
The food was bartered for by the Merchant's Guild in exchange for raw resources to fix old farm equipment destroyed in raids.
This caravan was conducted without uniform and at night to reduce likelihood of political fallout in the event we are seen to be trading openly with Vesper.
The caravan came under light orc attack before successfully reaching the border and making the trade.
En route back a light force of Covian scouts intercepted us - but they were defeated.
In an unexpected turn of events the pirate fleet again returned to threaten our city. This time cannons were brought to bear on their ship forcing a landing at an encampment north of the city. We took the fight to them there and summarily dispatched their entire crew - taking no prisoners.
Now Altmere has a meager supply of cannon shot - largely used up during the attack - with which to defend ourselves from future pirate attacks. But not enough for a sustained engagement.

Citizens were gathered briefly to once more clear the rat menace from the sewers beneath. Despite persistent fighting, rat person presence remains strong. Maps and new tunnel entrances were discovered. Small orc camp discovered in mountain pass potentially blocking a mass rat person exodus from the mountain region itself. Reason for encampment is uncertain. Rat person presence expected to continue in the sewers.
To protect against having to go into the sewers again to fight off the rat person horde, I propose a simpler solution: The effective use of traps.
Admittedly we will have to go back down there to set them up, but this time I guarantee they won't come back!
Because this time, I'll set up all kinds of terrible traps and I'll poison everything they might be eating down there.
And for you common, sensible people - you won't have to go down to the sewers and get yourself killed anymore.
I need the following:
-10 wooden crates of any size. They need to have keys to them and I need the keys.
-100 iron ingots. I will accept donations of additional ingots if you wish to contribute to the common welfare of our town.
-40 crossbow bolts
-As much poison as possible. The stronger the better.
I am willing to trade for these items, but let's not forget these things live below all our feet, not just mine.
-Danik
Tomorrow evening I'm going out the east gate and getting rid of the damn bodies rotting right in front of our door.
I'll set up a pyre and we'll drag them over to burn.
I could use some muscle though.
Meet at the east gate.

The standalone is pretty shit but I will never go back to arma 2 after seeing how much better it feels to play the standalone.
Talking noose tree for best character 2014.
'Go home guard, you've got no friends'
'Oh god, a zombie! Wait, it's just Jenny'

If you follow this link and create/verify some accounts and do some voting, they'll email you a code for one of the above games.
Be warned, for me it was extremely frustrating. The first day it kept telling me to re-verify my email address and told me I hadn't voted when I had. The 2nd day, it instantly worked. So it'll probably suck trying to get everything to work, but it's worth it.
And I think the offer ends Oct.25th, so don't wait.
I am off-put by the pig theme. It seems silly.
3pm-10pm EST = 8pm-3am GMT right?
That's my availability for weekdays.
I will try to help you with this, talk to me on steam when I'm online.
FINN HERRIK
I want to speak to you. I've no interest in collecting the bounty on your head, nor do I have any means of doing so. Instead I'd like to talk to you about the truth. Meet me by the cave to the North East on Monday. I'll be unarmed.
If using a disguise kit, selecting a new hairstyle and clicking apply will automatically give you one of those awful disguise kit names.
It also appears that writing in a new name and choosing either apply or okay doesn't work to change your name if you've already got one of the default names
Come by the chapel, I will do what I can

ORC GOES INTO RAGE, PROMPTLY EXECUTED
Friday, August 24th, 2013
I don't like to blow my own horn, but you heard it from me first folks! The orc has revealed it's true nature: That of an unyielding, moral-less beast. The scene unfolded late this Friday night, right outside our very gates. It was then that the beast broke into a frenzied rage, and lashed out against two citizens. And let me tell you, it's no small stroke of luck that it stopped just short of murdering the both of them, leaving one with only superficial wounds. It was then promptly rounded up by a 'Derek' and a 'Brother Laurence.' And keep the name 'Derek' in mind folks, we're gonna be coming back to that later.
Now once the orc was in a cell the acting mayor Rurik Keres showed up. Folks, there's something special about this guy. While he may be feeble and likely riddled with disease, he's already shown more grit and good sense than anyone else in this town! So he didn't waste much time when he sentenced the thing to execution. But get this, instead of 'beheading' it or 'hanging' it, he ordered Derek to bash it's brains in with a hammer. And personally, I really respect Derek for doing it. It's not often you're called upon to literally crush a creature's head, extinguishing it's life in the most brutal way imaginable.. I for one, I couldn't do it... But Derek did, he manned up and did it. Right in front of people too! These are the kind of people we need guarding our gates folks. So if any of you happen to see the man around town, buy him a drink. God knows he probably needs it to escape the reality of what he's done.

I agree with not having focus. Really disliked the fact that I need to throw away 80-100 points just to keep up with other fighters.
As for the undead, well, perhaps they should just be allowed to.. eat? Or maybe give them another 'undead'-esque item that is consumable and gives them as much as stamina as their human counterparts.
Or perhaps Spirit Speak could also give them stamina.
Earlier today, a small force was gathered and lead to the rat-infested plot east of our town. The group laid waste to the Guardian spawn and charred the body of the rat wytch. It's proximity to our own graveyard was no doubt a dark omen, but it is now nothing more than ash. Avatar willing, the undead attacks and the plague bearers may be fewer in strength after the removal of this wytch. Let this server as a reminder to all citizens: If you spot a wytch in proximity to our settlement, let a member of the church know and we will have it removed.

In the foreseeable future Blackwell will have it's very first academy. With this comes the opportunity for all villagers to take up new trades, learn new skills and have themselves educated. In light of this, there is now a very high demand for qualified instructors willing to teach their trade. If you are talented in -any- of the following skills, please seek out a meeting or send a pigeon to myself: Brother Laurence. The more instructors we have willing to teach, the better off our town will be.
-Blacksmithy
-Tailoring
-Carpentry
-Fletching
-Alchemy
-Tinkering
-Healing and Anatomy
-Combat skills (Swordsmanship, Fencing, Macefighting, Parrying, Archery, Wrestling)
